Keine Kritik weil - No review because

Quelle
Hallo & Welcome back.

In the last few days the movie "Me before you" has been discussed - especially online and especially from people which sit in a wheelchair.
Is the movie good, or bad? Is it really so wrong to write (there's a book to this movie) about the fact that some people with a disabilty don't want to live on?

I didn't read the book - but I still want to. And I also haven't seen the movie yet.
So I am not able to write a review - just like many other people with a disability did it.
However I can say that I do think that this topic is quite important - and it isn't surreal. And I also don't know many movies which are about this topic. Unfortunately it is the reality that some people can't live with their disability - and they also don't want to.
Anyway we should have in mind that there are many people out there who live a happy life even if they're disabled (ME!!).

But why am I not writing a review - because I didn't read the book.
But why haven't I seen the movie yet? - It has nothing to do with time. I would have had enough time.
But the cinemas which show the movie aren't barrier-free. (More about this topic here: No barrier-free halls)
And I am really not happy about that - especially when it comes to such a movie. Of course the movie is interesting for everybody - but it may address especially people in a wheelchair. And now I can not see the movie - even if I am one of these people in a wheelchair.

The owner of the cinemas should think about that - everybody should.
There are so many things out there which aren't barrier-free yet. Especially bigger cinemas. The little city-cinemas are mostly barrier-free already, but not the bigger cinemas.

Uniumbau - Rebuilding the Uni

Hallo & Welcome back.

The Uni I am studying at is going to rebuild another building of the university. Now it will be the main building - and I am not very excited.
Other students may be, especially because lecture halls are very old. And maybe these halls will be changed so that you can enter it from downstairs or upstairs - just like the new once. Right now you can enter these halls only from upstairs (but I do like that).

However I am still not sure if everything's going to be better.
The part of the uni I am having most of my classes in has been rebuild after 2006. Some time ago one of my collegues proposed to go outside in the courtyard. Everyone wanted to - only I didn't: "Sorry but I can't get out there with my electronical wheelchair". All of my collegues are very social - and we began to discuss. "Why isn't it possible to get out there?"; "Didn't they think of wheelchair-users?"; "But they have rebuild it after the year 2006?!". Yes, unfortunately not everything is good only because it has been rebuild.

And that's what I am keeping in mind now that they are rebuilding another part. I mean it is okey that the main building can't be used as usual during the rebuild-time. And usually people with a handicap aren't asked for tipps. And even if they do: Architects still do whatever they want to do.
You also shouldn't forget that some people with a handicap just think of their own disability. But they sometimes forget about electronical wheelchairs, walking frames, etc. - maybe also unintentionally.

But okey, we have holidays soon - and we will see if it is going to be better. I am hoping for the best!

Ich esse zu wenig? - Undereaten?

Hallo & Welcome back.

If I spend a day with my friends they sometimes say: "You are eating very little". And I am not doing this on purpose.

Yes I am using an app which counts my calories per day. And how much Water I am drinking. The goal each day is: Two liter of water. And 1230 Calories per day. And please don't be upset.

Some of my friends also use the app. And they are "allowed" to have more than 2000 Calories per day.
In this case we shouldn't forget that I am sitting nearly the whole day. I am not moving and walking as much as my friends do. And when you are using this app you can decide if you want to loose weight, train your body, or stay at your actual weight. And then the app starts to count how much Calories you are allowed to have each day. - The app is called Lifesum.

YES I did adjust that I want to loose weight. Even if I am very happy with my body right now I still want to loose weight. Why? - Because then every move I have to make will be easier for me. And no, I don't want to be underweight! Some people forget that I look taller than I am - because I am always sitting. And if I then tell those people how much I weigh they are shocked - because they think/thought that I am actually taller.

Now let's get to the things I eat.
For breakfast I nearly always have an Espresso and a Smoothie. Right now the green smoothie from Paradiso is my favourite. But I don't like the Innocent Smoothies.
Some of you now may think: you should get yourself a smoothie-maker. - Well, I am having no more space in my kitchen.
My lunch and dinner can sometimes be both at the same time.
I often eat - especially during summer-time - only once a day. That's enough for me.
But sometimes I also like eating three times a day.
I often cook pasta (typical for me as I am halfitalian). Or a mediterranean potatoplate.
You also find chicken wings in my freezer - I just like to eat them sometimes.
And sometimes I like to go out to eat something with my friends.
