Am Dorf - Villagelife (Tägliche Situationen mit einem Rollstuhl)

Hallo & Welcome back.

Translation: Another Daily Situations with a wheelchair.

Ich war mal wieder unterwegs. Diesmal im schönen Gailtal und ich muss sagen: sowas ist mir in Österreich wirklich noch nicht oft passiert und ich freu mich über dieses offene Verhalten.

Und zwar ging es diesmal mit meiner Besten Freundin zu einem Wirt in dem Dorf wo ich mal gewohnt hab. Dort war nämlich Desperados Party.
Ich war schon öfter bei dem besagten Wirt und wusste, dass es in der Bar nur einen einzigen Tisch gab, der kein Stehtisch war.
Als wir rein kamen, war dieser Tisch jedoch leider besetzt und wir haben erst einmal ein gratis Getränk angenommen. Dann kam der Wirt selbst und meinte, dass er gleich einmal fragen wird ob die Leute die zu diesem Zeitpunkt bei dem Tisch waren zu dem Stehtisch wechseln würden. Er hat das dann abgeklärt und wir konnten zu dem Tisch sitzen.

Ich finde das sehr lobenswert da dies in Österreich noch immer nicht selbstverständlich ist. Hingegen in London kenn ich es fast nur so. Ich freu mich wirklich, dass sich wenigstens in dieser Hinsicht etwas ändert.
Natürlich könnte man nun sagen, dass er das sicher nur gemacht hat, weil er mich kennt. Das würde ich aber nicht behaupten denn ich bin definitiv keine Stammkundin. Die Leute beim Tisch hingegegen sieht man, zumindest so weit ich weiß, öfter dort.


I went out again. This time in the beautiful Gailtal and I have to say: that doesn't happen to me so often when I am in Austria and I am so happy about this open-hearted behavior.

This weekend I went out with my BFF to the local bar in the village I lived before. There has been a Desperados Party.
I've been there already a few times and I knew, that there is only one not so high table where you can also sit.
So when we came in this table was occupied and we first got a free drink. Then the host came and told me that he would ask them if they'd change the tables if we want too. So he asked them and they changed to table so we could sit down there.

I am so happy and can't say thank you enough because I am not used to such a behavior in Austria. Of course this has been nearly everyday life in London and that this is happening here in Austria now too makes me proud, proud of this great chance!
Of course you could say that he only did that because he knows me. But I wouldn't claim that because I am not a regular guest and as far as I know the other's have been.
